I have to say, Maggie is an absolute pleasure to work with, and makes a process that would otherwise be uncomfortable feel relaxing. Space is clean and felt right at home. I was on the fence about colon cleansing for a long time, but the relief and awareness that comes from this service can’t be understated.
Midwest Cleanse is the most professional, well-maintained, and friendly colon hydrotherapy I have ever encountered! It has my absolute highest recommendation.I noticed on Yelp that there are some one-star reviews from years and years ago. I can understand those reviews, because the PREVIOUS owner of the business was Nina, when the business name was Chicago Colonic. Nina actually did provide technically proficient colonics, and I saw her for a few years, but I wasn't super comfortable with her and never wrote her a review. Nina sold the business to Maggie. Maggie changed the name of the business to Midwest Cleanse. Maggie is AMAZING!! She is the nicest, most friendly, and professional colon hydrotherapist you could ever ask for. Over the years, I have tried four colon hydrotherapists in the Chicago area, and I can say, without a doubt, that Maggie at Midwest Cleanse is by far the best! First, she's incredibly professional. The treatment room is spotlessly clean, comfortable and calming. I always feel relaxed and safe during the treatment. I have problems with my knees, so I bring extra pillows to prop my knee on -- she is very supportive of the accommodation that I need.The emails about appointments are extremely helpful. She sends very thorough information about the on-site parking, how to prepare for the colonic beforehand, and really pays attention to every detail and question about the service. If you are looking for a professional colonic, I highly recommend you give Midwest Cleanse a call!
I was just visiting with Miss Maggie, the Queen of Colonics. I am a fairly regular customer and Maggie is the BEST. Well, after we joked a bit and I was made comfortable, I shared with the "Q of C's" that I just recently had a heart attack and that I had a brand-new stent. Well, Miss Maggie immediately told me that I was not able to have my colonic. That it could have been possibly detrimental to my health, given the pressure that a colonic treatment creates. So, with a bright smile but a stern and firm statement of the facts, we adjourned, without any cost to me, to reschedule for a future date, after enough time had passed for me to be stronger and healthier.Thank you, oh great Queen of Colonics, for being inquisitive, thoughtful and caring.
