I’ve been getting my nails done at Black Onyx for years and have followed them from their Broadway location to their Halsted location. Over the years I’ve referred several friends, many of whom have become loyal customers too.
The reason I keep coming back is simple: the staff is incredible and no one does nails better than the team here. They’re talented, friendly and consistently do an amazing job. I’ve had most of my manicures done by Gala and Bella. They’re both amazing- 10/10

Alt did a fantastic job on my first French gel manicure, as well as my pedicure. He took his time to ensure I would walk out with exactly what I wanted. The house music vibes round out the relaxing experience so well, too!
I had gel nail polish removal and a new polish put on. Gala did an amazing job, she really takes her time and makes sure each nail is perfect. My nails are currently longer so she suggested to use the strong gel. They feel strong and healthy and the cuticles look great. The staff here is always friendly and professional, and the establishment is clean and has cool art work on the walls.
