Had my 8mo at SIH Urgent Care in Marion yesterday afternoon. The nursing staff were great, the PA/NP/DO or whatever his title is..not so much. The man didn’t even take the time to tell us his name. We were there due to a 103.9° fever that had lasted over 24hrs. No tests were ordered. We were told he was fine and to quit giving him fever reducing medication as it was probably the reason he hadn’t had a bowel movement in a while. Ended up taking our son to SIH Carbondale Hospital ER at 1am as that fever had now lasted roughly 48hrs. FINALLY we were tested for illnesses and given assistance in dropping his fever to a safe level. The ER staff were wonderful and so good with our boy. While I will NEVER be back at the urgent care in Marion, the ER has made it known they will always take care of us.
