had both the basement and bathroom done by TrueSpace. the basement was basically just concrete and exposed joists before, now its a full living space with proper flooring and drywall everywhere. the bathroom got a complete overhaul too, new tub new tile new everything. the shower area specifically came out looking really sharp, the tile pattern they did on the back wall adds a lot. both spaces feel like they belong in the house now instead of being afterthoughts
So our basement had this persistent musty smell that never went away no matter what we tried - dehumidifier running constantly, fans, even one of those ozone machines my brother in law swore by. Turns out there was moisture getting in through the old foundation walls and it had started affecting the drywall we'd put up years ago when we half finished the space ourselves. It was bad. Like pull everything out and start over bad. TrueSpace came and looked at it and basically said yeah none of this is salvageable, which was not what I wanted to hear but I already kind of knew. saw TrueSpace on some contractor site when i was looking at basement remodeling companies. talked to like 4 different places and most of them were pushy or took forever to even give an estimate. these guys came back with a detailed plan pretty quick and the price made sense so we booked them. ended up doing the basement and a full bathroom remodel together which saved us some money apparently. basement took longer than the bathroom but both turned out solid. my daughter already claimed the basement as her hangout spot
