    Update 12/30/2024:
    The installation check happened this morning. There is nothing different from the previous installation team. The gentleman simply pulled out the stove, check the valve, turn the valve on, ask me do you still smell the gas, and said we will proceed with the replacement. The store manager assured me there will be a sophisticated check done for the check, which did not happen. HD still did not reach out to me and communicate on this issue.

    This is not meant to be a review of this store, rather for the entire Homedepot corporate. I love this location and the staffs are great. I try to be neutral and stating facts. Hope other viewers and Homedepot can make your own judgements.

    1. I purchased a fridge, a stove and a dishwasher on 11/29. The delivery was set on 12/15. Due to manufacturing delay, they break my delivery into 12/13 and 12/27.
    2. The fridge was supposed to be delivered on 12/13, the delivery company missed me by 1 minute and didn't stay to wait for me for 15 mins as communicated on the phone. I have to reschedule it for 12/16.
    3. The gas stove and dishwasher was delivered on 12/27. The dishwasher has a dented door and the delivery team notified me and I called for a replacement, it got scheduled on 1/14.
    4. The gas stove was installed and I smelled gas coming out from one of the burners and called HD. All call agents are nice and trying to help. But each time I called, I got different responses about the stove. The first agent said there will be installation check on same day, 12/28. Later I called they confirmed earliest will be 12/30, without any communication to let me know. After 3 calls, 3.5 hours on the phone, I scheduled installation check on 12/30, a stove replacement on 1/4.
    4. The store manager on duty, Marlene, told me there is nothing I can do in this situation, they will follow their procedures to fix this issue. She insisted there will not be replacement order before the installation check is done, which is not true. And there is no other solutions that can be escalated to solve my issue, which is not true as the HD corporate customer escalation team suggested I can get a licenced plumber to troubleshoot the gasline in case it is a installation issue and get reimbursed.

    My biggest regrets:
    1. I should not place any major appliances order with homedepot. They do not have clear control and communication with the installation team and it will be a lottery if you get it done right or not. None of the installation crew can communicate with me without a translator. And they are not licensed for the gasline appliance installation.
    2. HD does not put customers as the top priority. Even in the case of a gas leakage, they prefer procedures that delays the solution and puts customer in jeopardy without stove and resolution. And they blame it on customer. It appears it's the customers choice of paying HD for this and you should eat the inconvenience.
    3. I even helped the delivery crew to jump start their truck as it drained its battery while waiting. If the corporate acts like it cares about customer as they advertised, this whole nightmare will not happen.

    I am waiting for HD to fix the issue and provide resolution, while waiting without stove. This ruined the whole holiday for our family and I hope justice can be served.

    I received a duplicate online order. After notifying Home Depot via chat and experiencing a less than enjoyable response, I wanted to return the item to my Bolingbrook store. It could have been me, but the young woman seemed devoid of any emotion. She didnโ€™t seem grateful that someone did the right thing and returned an expensive item back to the store. The item was worth $500. What has happened to human emotion? The expression of kindness, even gratitude? I guess that those days are no longer a characteristic of our big store chains.

    Wow the Shelvy the assistant manger and her associates Steven and John in the tool rental department are incredible people and their customer service was amazing. Also thank you to the older gentleman who helped me find mangment. My apologies for not grabbing your name, but your meekness and selflessness was outstanding thank you all for a great experience!

    Got good help buying a back up sub pump & Battery. My old one gave up the ghost, after many years of good service. ๐Ÿ˜•
    Now I wish I knew how to get the darn thing installed, the sup pump๐Ÿง๐Ÿค” not the battery, that I got down pat.
    Pray for me folks that I don't screw it up. ๐Ÿฅด๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

    Always help you find what you need, I have never had a visit where I couldn't get assistance if needed. I might have to look for someone or ask up front but someone is there quickly
