Today I visited this Berwyn barber. Parking on Oak Park is currently not available because of road work. I parked in a lot across the street paying a quarter for an hour. I received an excellent haircut. There was no wait! The previous time I was at this shop there was only one person ahead of me. The owner of this shop is very experienced as he has run this shop for 23 years. If you want a quality haircut at a reasonable price this is the place to visit. I doubt you will have to wait when you visit as road construction and covid have affected his business. I wore a mask and felt safe the entire time i was receiving my haircut.

YES, the barber shop is still open!! Check out Joe and support your local barber. The old school barber shop has been there 20 years but you feel like you went back many more years then that when you step inside!!! Joe lost 75% of his clientele since the COVID-19 outbreak because a large part of his clients are elderly. So, many of the peope whose hair he has been cutting for decades are scared to go out anywhere. We need to help Joe get some new younger customers!! I've been living in Berwyn for almost a decade and somehow never paid attention to this spot. I got a really nice hair cut today and it felt great to support a guy who has been working in Berwyn for decades....read full review

This is definitely your old-timey, small town barber shop. The barber is an older gentleman who is as talkative as you want him to be, while still being able to dedicate himself to your hair. When I told him I wasn't sure what style I wanted, he patiently helped me figure out what was right for me. He took his time, and left me very satisfied and confident with my hair cut. This is my first time getting a haircut in this area, so I wasn't sure if the $17 price was steep or not. However, the personal touch, expertise, and nostalgia were a combination I'd definitely pay for time and time again.
