Planning a funeral is never easy, especially when it’s your own, except when you work with Michael, and the Valhalla-Gaerdner-Holten Funeral Home. They made the entire process very easy. When the time comes I’m sure our children will appreciate the fact that everything is arranged and they do not have to make plans in their time of grief. All they have to do is make a call and everything will be handled for them, including a catered meal for after the funeral. Yes, you read that right. No need to travel all over to find a restaurant. If you haven’t planned your funeral I would urge you to do so. Count it as a parting gift to your children.
The great ..Their customer service was fantastic Timothy and Michael handled everything and was able to keep us under the budget we had to spend. They followed up to ensure all was taken care of and Timothy took the time to fill our jewelry with some ashes. Fantastic customer service.The ok ..They are "corporate" so they have little wiggle room in terms of prices and because of that they were more expensive than other places (but we were locked into a plot there and for simplicity had services there)Day of the service, the USB stick would not play in the TV so we had no pictures. On behalf of my entire family, I want to thank Timothy at Valhalla Funeral Home for the kindness, compassion, and professional manner in which he handled services for my daughter Faith. It was a very tragic, difficult situation for us and we are still struggling in dealing with her loss, but he did an exemplary job in working with me through this tough time. For that I am truly grateful and very appreciative of how much care staff showed. At a time of our great sorrow, the support extended to me and my family will never be forgotten.
