I recently moved to the area and went in for a regularly scheduled cleaning and X-rays in October. I was informed I had 9 cavities. This obviously came as a shock and was very troublesome. The dentist blamed primarily my permanent retainer that I have had for the last decade with no issues. She stated it must be removed and we have to fill these 9 cavities. They removed my permanent retainer in December but couldn’t schedule me until February to fill the cavities. I had to go back twice to get an overnight retainer because the first mold they made did not fit inside my mouth. So I was without a retainer for months putting in jeopardy the position of my teeth.
