Makray Memorial Golf Club features a beautiful patio with good food, making it a great spot for lunch or post-game drinks. The golf course is noted for its super challenging pin placements and fast greens that require skill. It offers great views and an overall nice experience, although the holes can play longer than they seem. Many holes are on knobs and mounds, leading to tough approaches and difficult up and downs. While the landscaping could use improvement, the venue is popular for weddings and other events, with staff members, including Laurie the event planner and Chef John, providing exceptional service that leaves guests impressed.

There’s something couples don’t get to see when choosing a wedding venue: what happens behind the scenes when things don’t go according to plan.

As an entertainment professional, I had the opportunity to work alongside the McCray team for Sophia & Ian’s wedding, and this is the part I think future couples need to know.

Weather changed things. Timelines had moving pieces. There were circumstances none of us could control. And yet, if you were a guest in that room, you would never have known it.

The Makray Wedding Team- Leeza, Laurie, and Stacie are amazing! My sister had her wedding at Makray, and they did such an amazing job - I had to have my wedding there too. The team is extremely professional and great communicators. They respond quickly and with great detail to any questions or requests I had. This was extremely appreciated as I was the sole planner of my wedding. They did an amazing job at bringing my vision to life in the venue space. They also made me feel reassured in that they would handle everything, and the wedding was beautiful!
