Dr. Butler and the whole team at Barrington make me feel like my cat’s health and well being are their number one priority. Whether it’s an emergency visit, or a well check, the staff are responsive to my questions and doing what is best for my cat. The staff excels at putting cats at ease. Mr. Buxco loves Dr. Butler so much he’s actually head butted her! Before finding Barrington, I had tried a number of vets in the Chicago area and felt that they did not treat Mr. Buxco with the care he deserves. At Barrington, from the waiting room to the patient room and all the way to the follow up emails and calls, Dr. Butler and the rest of the team at Barrington listen to my concerns, pay attention to my cats symptoms, and work to keep Mr. Buxco feeling his best!!! Thank you all.

I rescue cats and take all of our cats to the Animal Care Center of Barrington. The vets there are excellent and compassionate.

We recently laid our lovely dog to rest, the staff was very kind, gentle and respectful at such a difficult time.

They could care less about saving your pet. It’s all about the money to them…. Would not recommend.

My dog has extreme anxiety. Every place we boarded her has given up on her, and she couldn't go back there. She was treated wonderfully here, and they knew exactly how to deal with her. We are so grateful for them.

I will try to make this review as short as possible, just know that there’s more. And if you want to save your sick pet, you better get a real doctor at different practice!!!!
My dog suddenly got sick, we came here and they told us that’s allergies and send us home. Mind you my dog whole body was swollen as well as her nodes. After 3 days we repeated the blood work and they says that her kidney got worse. They put her on different medications, and week later we repeated the test just to find out she got worse again and now her liver start declining. Doctor at this visit told me that prognosis are “not good” and we have to make her “comfortable “!!!! Yes, two weeks after she got sick and after few test I was told this by DOCTOR!!!! Long story short, we transferred to VSC and now my dog liver in completely recovered and we were told that’s the medication this practice gave her made her liver go bad!, and her kidney is in remission!!!!!! And if they would just treat us from the beginning she wouldn’t have now chronic kidney disease!!!! This practice and doctors are not good, they should consider to change careers! Seriously, if your pet is sick you better not trust them, because that’s what I was doing and they almost killed my dog, and they have no knowledge to treat any animals! Because all they care is money, and get off work on time!

Dr. Jenna Butler is incredible! Without a doubt, one of the most qualified, knowledgeable, and compassionate veterinarians we’ve ever met. Her love for animals shines through in everything she does. She treats Flynn as if he were her own, and that level of genuine care means the world to us. Dr. Butler stays ahead of any and all canine breakthroughs and is quick to recommend the best products and services. It’s because of her warmth, honesty, and clinical expertise that we wouldn’t trust anyone else with his healthcare.

The front desk team is just as amazing, always cheerful, welcoming, and flexible with scheduling. The entire staff is so great about communication, always on time, and even gives the curiosity right away if they’re running a bit behind (which is so rare and appreciated!)

Beyond regular wellness visits, vaccines, and checkups, we love that they also offer boarding, daycare, and grooming even an app where we can access Flynn’s records or message the vet directly. It’s thoughtful touches like these that make such a difference.

Dr. Butler and her team go above and beyond in every way, exceeds every expectation. We’re beyond grateful for the care they provide and the kindness they show every single visit. Flynn is a big fan, and so are we! 🐾❤️ They earned my highest recommendation for all pet parents!
