Update : 8-13-25 My 7th time here, had an executive haircut with stylist Gina again. I am extremely satisfied with the haircut, will come again definitely. Great job! And the place is also well maintained, gives you a feel good relaxing ambience. Gina does a great job each time.

Erica was awesome!! I'm for sure not great at explaining how I want my hair cut but she still knew exactly what needed to be done to find a style that suited me well! The salon is set up very nice, with a relaxing atmosphere and I definitely would return!

Cassie and Gina did such a fine job. They gave me recommendations and got it me for my gray cover and cut. I absolutely loved it. Very relaxing and very high quality products. Will visit again when I’m in Chicago.

Erica at 1924 has been cutting my son's and my hair for a few years now, and we keep coming back for good reason. She's earned her Master Designer title, and it shows. She's thorough and won't rush you out the door until the cut is right. The whole place has a great vibe, and the staff is excellent. If you're looking for someone who is skilled and genuinely cares about getting it right, definitely book with Erica.

Incredible experience since day one. I moved from the city and it was time to find a new stylist. I have gone to the same woman for 10 years and hate having to explain how I want it cut so I wanted to make sure where I ended up was going to be long term. I went on the site and found Erica Geary. She is one of the master stylists and she didn’t disappoint. She actually walked me through why the cut I was receiving wasn’t best for the way my hair sat and so I trusted her. Best haircut I’ve ever had and I will be going here as long as I live in Barrington. I’ve felt so comfortable I’ve referred a few friends as well! 10/10

This place tries to sell hundred dollar haircuts, then they want to hard sell you on product the entire time they’re cutting your hair. They want you to spend 130-200$ before tip. I’m sorry but for a man’s basic haircut, I’m at my limit and you’re not getting a tip after all that. I figure at 90$, your tip is built in honey. For the most part the stylists had pretty unwelcoming attitudes as well. It’s a bit of a depressing environment. I tried 3 or 4 different stylists before giving up. Do yourself a favor and find a small business owner to go to. You’ll get a better cut at half the price.
