Went with the elevated deck build since the house sits up on a slope back there, wasn't really an option to do it any other way. The wicker sectional was our own furniture, not part of the job, but it fits the space better than I expected once it was all set up. Royal Deck put the stairs on the side instead of straight off the back, small change but it opens up way more room underneath for storage.
Had an open porch built, and a colleague had Royal Deck do it for him first, basically wouldn't stop recommending them, so I finally called. I went into the consultation expecting the standard contractor pitch. What I got was more practical than that. The project scope grew a bit once I saw what was possible with the space, which I'm not entirely blaming them for. The framing phase looked like a lot at first. We had our older deck resurfaced by the guys at Royal Deck and they did a wonderful job! The price was very reasonable and we love the new look. They also added a screening lattice that makes our outdoor space very cozy. We highly recommend Royal Deck for the professional work they can do to transform your back yard!
