Ok - Maxx Electrical. I called you numerous times to discuss this issue and apparently you only return calls to set appointments not to hear complaints. I toyed with the idea of stopping in your shop, but decided after I write this review and perhaps another one or two on other sites, I'm done with you. I paid you $149 for an estimate for a permitted kitchen renovation. Your electrician's estimate was over $3000. I was told there was room in the electrical panel for what we needed done and no issues. Your estimate was for $350 per outlet change and to move some conduit. I then proceeded to get 2 more estimates from certified electricians who didn't charge me a dime to come out. Their quote for the exact same work was around $1000. However, they both informed me that I should speak to the village before doing any work because my electrical panel was recalled due to fire hazard and they would require it be replaced. Once the inspector saw the panel, they assured me he would require additional work in my unit to bring it up to code. NONE of this was mentioned by your electrician - even after I specifically asked about the soundness of my current panel and discussing the permitting process. I did have the village inspector out and sure enough they require that the panel be replaced along with some additional work. The Village would have approved my kitchen reno plans without seeing my unit because they rely on the electrician to know what they're doing. So, your electrician would've completed the $3k in work and then it would've been inspected and I would've needed another $3k in work. I don't know who's paying your astronomical prices, but I can tell you it's not necessary AND I wouldn't trust your work.

Caused another electric breaker to fail in the box. Quoted me an enormous price to replace the circuit box. Thank goodness I called another electrician who was much more reasonable. The cost he Quoted was 1/3 the cost of Maxx electric. The box was installed within 2 days.

Maxx Electrical Services saved my life!! After I roasted one of my new devices, I had to turn the breaker off and stop installing new 3-way smart switches at a couple of different points throughout my house. I called Maxx Electrical Services, and the next day they came out and took care of everything while also giving me some background information on what had happened. I've used them on a couple of larger projects and they've performed admirably. I strongly advise them for any electrical work.
