I had Smitty’s work on two projects… cutting a overgrown tree down to the size I wanted and coming back another day to mulch the ground around my landscaping. They did a beautiful job on both.
DOES NOT RECOMMEND Today, (3/30/2022) this company put their profits before the Oak Lawn Hometown Middle School community's safety. They CHOOSE to start a project right across from the school's student drop off doors during morning commute. Literally at the entrance of the drop off drive way as well as side streets that are direct routes for parents to safely drop off students. This created such a mess that police were needed to help school staff direct traffic safely to ensure children could arrive to school uninjured and help ensure no auto accidents. This created such a mess that not only are students walking into school late, many working parents are now arriving to work late. This company CHOOSE to not delay the start of this project until after the morning bell (8:30 am) putting their profits before the community's best interests. Why not wait to start? Just screams this company wanted to get this crew to finish this job no matter the chaos it created to get to this job done before the rain. Called the company after navigating out of that mess and spoke to Bernadette, claimed to be owner, when I said "this created a cluster-fuck" she used that opportunity to end the conversion and not take ownership of this horrible situation, offer corrective measures or offer an apology. Poor customer service. Crew had no common sense.
