Hands down, the best vet experience ever. I had never been to this vet before, but we had an emergency with our cat, who was all but dead. They met us on there on the weekend and took great control of the situation. After a few days of being hydrated on an IV, he still showed little progress. We knew it was time to put him down. We went to do it and I changed my mind. The vet was very clear not to sway us in either direction but he did say he always fights for the animal. So we made the choice to fight for him too. I cannot say enough good things about Mountain River Vet! They were phenomenal during our dog’s emergency shoulder surgery—quick, compassionate, and so skilled. They prioritized her treatment, made sure she was comfortable, and treated her like their own. We are so thankful for them!
We have been going to Mountain River for a number of years and have been very impressed with the vets and the staff. Recently, we had to have our 12-year-old dog put to sleep because of a fast growing cancerous tumor. It was a difficult decision, but Dr. Pond was so helpful and considerate and made it a very peaceful experience. We left the office that day heartbroken, but we knew we had done the right thing.
About a week later, I received a Sympathy card in the mail from Mountain River, signed by the staff, and to my surprise there was a print of my dog’s paw and nose!
