Awful place. My daughter had very concerning results from her labs. The doctor (Gunn) did call to let her know and to get further testing ASAP. She did that the next morning, Thursday, and was told she would have the results by the end of the day. She messaged the doctor to let him know she had done it. Well it’s now late Monday morning and still no answers. When she calls she just continually gets a voicemail and no response. This treatment is absolutely unacceptable!

If you have mental health problems go anywhere else when you need them the most they will drop you.

My kid goes to a councilor not a psychologist, not a therapist for an hour 2-3 times a month all last year. I got a text at 7am on a Sunday saying I have bills due. I get 11 bills for 1.5 hr psychotherapy sessions for the whole 2022 year on a Sunday after I'm told my insurance covers it and I verify with my insurance they do fully cover COUNCILLING. So 1 hr with a councilor cost $200? I was told $90. Guess health west likes to try and make an extra buck by incorrectly coding visits. So not only has it ruined my day, I can't talk to anyone because they sent out the text notification at 7 am on a Sunday. I love the councilor but after I resolve my bill my business is going elsewhere.

It takes 6 weeks to be seen and if you're 2 minutes late they cancel your appointment.

This place is a NIGHTMARE. My insurance made a mistake with the birthdate and they didn’t work with the insurance to fix it. They just sent me a $200 bill 11 months later after the date of service. The problem with insurance didn’t get fixed in time so it became “the patients responsibility” because it went past a year. So apparently they just aren’t going to do their job and send you a bill. I cannot believe that this is even acceptable. I wouldn’t have even had to pay a dime if they would have just done their job in the first place. I am telling everyone I know. Do NOT go here if you do not want to get screwed over. They are incredibly unprofessional and I shouldn’t take the fault because billing couldn’t do their job.

I was 9 minutes late, I called ahead to let them know. Their “policy” is rescheduling after 10 minutes. The receptionist’s computer didn’t work for 5 minutes after my arrival, making my check-in 5 minutes later than my arrival so they said I needed to reschedule. She was not accommodating, which I feel like should be pretty standard with any job, especially one where the clients have ailments.

I've been going to Health West for about 4 years now and have always had a good experience with Dr. Paul. The reason I'm writing this review though is because of how wonderful Michelle, in pharmaceutical, is. There was some confusion between my insurance and the pharmacy I use but I couldn't figure it out. Michelle made some phone calls and got it all figured out for me. Michelle was so helpful and kind. She deserves a raise for making Health West so great.
