Chris has great design ideas. He is very talented in creating water features. I recommend him for design. Here's where he's lacking: He built three water features for us. They all lose water. We haven't been able to fix the problems ourselves. We continue to refill all three water features every other day or so. And no, it's not evaporation. They are leaking. Chris committed to coming out in April 2022. He was a no-show with no call, text or email. In April 2023 I reached out again. No response. We don't expect free repairs. Our project was done in 2017-2018 so we know things age. We wanted Chris to show up when he said he would OVER A YEAR AGO to fix the problems.
I had a front and backyard landscape project done in 2020 by Chris and his “team.” I had 11 trees and 100 plants planted that were guaranteed by Chris for a year. 6 of the 11 trees died within that year (and one shortly after a year), and around 40 plants died all due to their lack of use of planting soil and yard was not properly graded causing extensive flooding. Only 3 of the trees were replaced and NONE of the plants. I estimate I’m out about $3,000 as I slowly replace everything that has died. On 4 occasions in 2021, Chris said he had the trees to replace my dead ones but never showed up and even admitted to me he “screwed up.” I filed a complaint with the BBB to no avail. Chris is all about over-promises and excuses. The project was supposed to take 2 1/2 weeks. It took 3 months. Crew would leave their tools in ponds of water, leave trash, cigarette butts, and empty water bottles strewn throughout my property and would only pick up when I would complain. Also, Chris does not carry Workers’ Compensation on his employees as required by Idaho law. Chris Shriner, you know who is writing this. Do the right thing and reimburse me for what you owe me.
Chris and his team transformed our dusty dead backyard into a true haven. He was super easy to work with, very communicative and we couldn't be happier with the results. I'd absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for quality landscaping.
