I was lucky to find Soma while in Idaho Falls for a weekend. Jared Emfield and James Emfield were so warm and welcoming that I felt like I was an immediate part of the Soma family! Terrific instruction with Matt Strack too. A fantastic few hours at my new home away from home!
We signed our four year old out of the blue because he was in preschool and was starting to get bullied by a kid, and it got physical a few times. I realized he needed something that taught him to relax be patient and take action if it was ever needed. We never knew anyone who did Jiu only Karate. I can’t express how grateful I am that I choose this. I was worried he would just be another kid with money signs, and they wouldn’t care to learn his name even. They proved me wrong. Instructors are caring and engaged with their classes. My son loves Jiu-Jitsu with Soma. They teach the kids all the right principals and values with the physical. They have and encourage a great environment. I’ve studied various martial arts throughout my life across the country and even overseas.Soma is a Top notch school. Anyone interested in studying Jiu-Jitsu should start here first.
