Big Rave (and a small rant). Pebble Ponds Golf Course and Restaurant in Filer. We had a Birthday Party there last night, with 12 people. My food was very good (Prime Rib sandwich w/onion rings). Our two servers were awesome! Came around just the right amount. Not too often; but made sure we had everything we needed. They were very personable and enjoyable. (They even had another party in the back room). Bar was good and the owner even came by to make sure everything was OK. 🤩 Small Rant - Mandatory 20% gratuity. I didn't mind it THIS TIME, because they REALLY EARNED IT! But I choose to decide if, and how much the service deserves a tip! (4 separate checks for our party of 12) - 4% more for card payment. (I know all about the card fees banks charge, especially hard for a small business vs. raising menu prices to cover this business expense). 🤒 We will go back though, just remember to bring enough cash.
The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. The food is delicious and the entertainment was great.
