I normally do not leave negative reviews, but I feel people should be aware of my experience. I went to this office shortly after giving birth while I was postpartum, and I was told I had 13 cavities that needed to be filled immediately. As someone who brushes and flosses twice daily and takes very good care of my teeth, this was extremely concerning and honestly overwhelming to hear.
Wanting to be cautious, I decided to get a second opinion from another dentist. The second dentist told me they only saw very small spots that could potentially become cavities in the future, but they absolutely did not need to be filled right away. They explained that they may not even need treatment for another couple of years, if at all, with proper monitoring.
This made me feel extremely uncomfortable about the recommendations I received here and left me questioning whether unnecessary dental work was being pushed on me.
To make matters worse, when I had to cancel a follow-up appointment because I was extremely sick, I was charged a $50 cancellation fee. After already feeling stressed and uneasy about the situation, that was very disappointing.
Overall, my experience felt more focused on selling procedures than providing honest, patient-centered care. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to extensive dental work here.

Dr. Larson and his team at Kootenai Family Dental are worth every mile! I drove over 2 hours from Washington state specifically because Dr. Larson came so highly recommended and he did not disappoint. From our very first phone call, he put me completely at ease.
