Had my dog at this “emergency vet” hospital on a Monday at 7:00 p.m. She was brought in because her ear was ripped halfway and hanging off. She was bleeding everywhere, with blood splattered on the wall, door, and even the washing machine.
After being moved from the waiting room to the exam room, no one came in to check on my dog, so I left at 9:00 p.m. I was extremely disappointed/ disgusted with this place. Several cats were brought in and seen before my dog, despite her clearly having a severe injury.
There was no sense of urgency whatsoever. The staff seemed more concerned with paperwork and a check than with my dog, who was actively bleeding and having to hold her head up so she doesn’t shake blood everywhere. If you value your pet’s care in an emergency, I would not recommend this place at all.

Everyone there is so companionate and understanding. My Griz stopped eating and then vomited the water he drank. We brought him in for answers. Ended up he was autoimmune in distress with several other internal issues. Griz came in my life as a 5 week baby in 2020. fast became my emotional support animal. We were together everyday. Him suffering was breaking my heart the staff was very understanding and allowed me to say my goodbyes. He fell asleep and went in peace. I am so grateful for the compassion and gentleness with which they cared for Griz and our family.

These wonderful people saved my dog's life. My poor dog was pooping and vomiting her own blood last night so my mom rushed her to the vet. She had had a dental cleaning and the vet removed some loose teeth, so I'd assumed it was related to that. It turns out my poor dog had severe gastroenteritis from the pain pills that were prescribed her. My poor dog could have died from dehydration. Thankfully the awesome people at the Emergency Vet knew exactly what to do! They gave her fluids under her skin and did other things to help her. They were wonderful to my mom and our dog. I am happy to report she looks 100% better today!! THANK YOU Emergency Vet!
So this was a hard week for my family. Our other dog, Sam, a toy poodle had a chronic heart condition and other issues and we knew we were getting close to the time where he would either pass away in his sleep, or we would have to take the next step. He was around 13 years old or so and had a serious heart murmur of 4 out of 6. At 12:30 AM on Feb 11, 2026 I rushed him to the Emergency Vet because he was gasping for breath and it was just heartbreaking. I asked the receptionist to help me put him to sleep humanely. Within 5 minutes, the staff got me into a private room and took Sam away to be checked out. They immediately gave him oxygen and wrapped him in a blanket because he was cold. The lady who spoke to me about the situation gave me a lot of good health care options for him, but because of his age and the severity of his condition I wanted him to go to sleep humanely. Everyone on staff from the receptionists to the vet techs were extremely kind and gentle with both me and Sam. I was crying a lot and I could tell all of them really cared about both of us. The wonderful staff at this Emergency Vet Hospital made this extremely sad event easier to bear. Thank you.
It is June 20, 2026 and Bailey is doing very well. THANK You! Your Staff is wonderful!

Dr. Demarco, Delaney, and the entire veterinary team took excellent care of our Great Pyrenees and Bernedoodle after an extremely unfortunate porcupine encounter in the middle of the night. We were seen immediately, given an estimate, and the boys were both taken back for surgery within roughly 30 minutes of being at the facility. We live in Spokane but drove to CDA because all of the emergency vets in our area had a multiple hour wait. The team was kind and compassionate during an extremely difficult time and took the best care of our dogs. You are given an estimate prior to treatment so there are no worries about cost after the fact. The prices were very reasonable given the extent of my dogs’ injuries and time under anesthesia. We were able to comfortably wait in the lobby while the dogs were under. Highly recommend this group to take care of your pets!

I had to bring my dog in here last weekend. He was in a lot of pain and would not sit down due to an arthritic flair up. This team was so nice & helpful. They even called me the next day to check on my sweet boy. I can’t recommend them enough!

. We had an emergency with our beloved dog, Maybull, and in our hearts we knew the outcome might not be good given that she was 15 years old.
From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly compassionate and caring. They quickly brought a stretcher to help move her and got us in right away. The doctor and team took the time to explain everything in detail, showing such kindness, patience, and empathy throughout this extraordinarily difficult experience.
While it was not the outcome we had hoped for, we knew in our hearts what was happening. The compassion shown by the doctor and staff made an immeasurable difference during one of the most heartbreaking moments our family has faced.
They will never truly know how grateful we are for the care they gave Maybull and for helping us navigate this devastating loss with such dignity and compassion. We will always be thankful.

I can't sing this team's praises enough. Dr Gable and her team literally saved our dog's life at 1am Saturday morning. Mr Snacks, our 5 year old dog, suffered a flipped stomach while we were on vacation and staying at a rental house. Stuff of nightmares for a pet parent. Luckily we caught it in time to get him over to a vet in Ponderay who referred us to this clinic and they were able to save him through emergency surgery. They whole team was quick to respond and so accommodating and understanding. Our dogs are our world and they treated us with a level of urgency and compassion that someone could only pray for in circumstances like ours. It's because of your team that Mr Snacks is here with us and on the road to recovery. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Bella was more than a pet, she was family, our loyal companion, and a source of unconditional love for nearly 15 years.
When it came time to say goodbye, the entire staff treated her with such gentleness, compassion, and respect that we knew she was in the best hands possible. They made one of the most heartbreaking days of our lives a little easier to bear.
We are deeply grateful for the care Bella received and for the kindness shown to our family throughout the process, including her cremation. Thank you for honoring her life and helping us bring our sweet girl home one last time.
We will miss her forever

Don’t expect help unless you can pay in full the moment your through the door, even if your dog is dying on there table.

Came down from sandpoint for a holiday weekend dog GI issue. The entire staff was first class and showed our dog fantastic care and attention. The whole team took time to explain her test results thoroughly to ensure we got a complete view of her diagnosis.
Would absolutely be back and would reccomend their care to anyone needing emergency vet care.
