This vet charged me to look over my dog cause she has a lump on her back and they couldnt tell me what it was or what I should do about it. When I called them back they want to charge me again to have it looked over again, they were very disrespectful and hung up on me when I tried to get information on the lump growing on my dog cause I didnt want them to charge me for something they were already supposed to diagnose they are scammers and will likely soon be hit with a lawsuit for animal neglegence or malpractice.

Alpine Animal Hospital is such a great vet! I've been a client for 11 years and through the good and the bad they have always treated my girls with the same care and compassion they would give their own pets. Although I'm sure there are other great vets in Coeur d'Alene, I highly recommend Alpine and I know I'll never go any place else.

We have know about alpine because many of our friends and family have used them before for their animals, but we just started coming to them at the very end of 2025. We have only had 2 appointments so far (but many to come due to FIV+ kitty) and we are incredibly happy with them. The receptionists and techs have all been incredibly sweet and helpful. Our appointments have been with Dr. Outhet and she is wonderful. Very knowledgeable and personable, and is able to explain everything easily and completely. We are very happy with our choice to come here.

We have been longtime clients of Alpine Animal Hospital for many years and, for the most part have been mostly satisfied with, especially with our veterinarian Dr. DeAnna Orr! But a recent experience has left us with a bad taste in our mouths.
We took our English Springer Spaniel in for his annual visit earlier this week. We had a heartworm test done so that his prescription could be renewed. I ordered Simparica Trio from Chewy and they called Alpine to get approval for the Rx and Chewy was told that they don’t do phone authorizations! Since when? That is how we have obtained our prescriptions for the past four years! Now I have to mail a prescription to Chewy at my expense for $33 for Express Mail on top of the $300+ that we spent for our dogs check up! Ridiculous!

am extremely disappointed with this veterinary clinic. I contacted them about my dog being sick and was told they couldn’t get us on the schedule for two days. When you have a sick animal, waiting 48 hours is not acceptable, and there was no sense of urgency, compassion, or effort to help find an alternative solution. I understand that clinics can be busy, but part of being a veterinarian is recognizing when an animal may need prompt care. The lack of concern and flexibility made it clear that patient well-being was not a priority here. I ended up seeking care elsewhere, where my dog was seen promptly. If you’re looking for a vet who will take your pet’s illness seriously and act with urgency and empathy, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

This place is horrible!! After 24 years of service for our pets when we needed them the most they denied us.. my cat of 19 years had a stroke early Friday morning and they told us they could not help us until Monday. We needed our precious mister kitty euthanized and they just did not care! I will never tell anyone to ever use such a heartless place!

Mother in law been going to them for 20 plus years and theirvery old cat had a stroke this morning and needed to be put to rest and they said they couldn't do anything about til Monday! Was gonna let the poor cat suffer til then! So glad I never gave them a second chance when I tried to make my animals appointment and they were completely rude.
