“Super bummed they merged with WHA. I used WHA for the first 20 weeks with my third baby and couldn’t leave fast enough. I will not be stepping foot in their office ever again.
But in regards to IS, I had a generally good experience with them. I saw all three midwives for my appointments. The front desk staff were always SO friendly and polite, I looked forward to seeing them! No issues with my appointments besides sometimes feeling rushed and pushed out the door when they were behind. I wasn’t even able to ask questions because they were already walking out the door on several occasions. I came in for an ultrasound to check my cervix as my baby before came at 15 weeks due to incompetent cervix. Jill basically rammed my cervix and caused some spotting and couldn’t find my cervix ? had to have another midwife come in and got it done in less than 5 minutes after being abused by the TV wand for over 10 with Jill lol she ended up being the one to deliver my baby when the time came too. I had in my birth plan and was vocal about not wanting to be coached when to push, yet she tried telling me to push when I wasn’t ready. I feel like I tore because of that alone. I don’t know if there was an emergency where she needed baby out fast and never said anything or what, but with an unmedicated labor, it hurt so badly. She kept telling me I was running away from the pain and I was the reason my baby wasn’t coming when obviously I was just trying to get baby out because she kept causing me so much pain with telling me to push even when I wasn’t having a contraction. I also didn’t want my waters broken but she said it would Make baby come so I reluctantly agreed just to get baby out. Baby came and was healthy and fine, but my labor was less than desirable and stressful. All in all I’d probably deliver with them again if they didn’t work with WHA and I could make sure Jill wasn’t on call, but I can’t be sure of that so I’m on the hunt for another office unfortunately:(“
