I recently started the introductory pole dancing class with one of my friends. I was very intimidated and hesitant to take this class, knowing very well I was extending beyond my comfort zone. Kate and Mel created an unmatched atmosphere fostering comfort, growth, fun and joy. They are also very knowledgeable in their craft and instruct in such a considerate and mindful approach, always taking physiologic limitations into account. I can’t say enough about how this experience increased my confidence, but also how impressed I am with the staff and their teaching. I look forward to this class every week. I always leave feeling energized no matter what my body did in class! I really appreciate the very welcoming and loving environment; everyone is supported to their fullest potential here! Inclusive, options for everyone at every level☺️
Getting involved in the Pole community has always been something I’ve been hesitant to do because I am a short fat girl with stubby arms and legs and no dance experience. After watching Ascension post MANY body inclusive things, I finally decided to just do it. Never in a million years did I imagine myself feeling comfortable dancing in a studio in booty shorts in just a month!!! The atmosphere of this place is magical and the sense of belonging is instant. On top of feeling more confident taking up space in my body, I also am getting to move and work my muscles in ways that they haven’t been worked and moved in years! Seriously cannot recommend this lovely establishment enough.
