DO YOUR HOMEWORK, AND CALL YOUR FURNACE MANUFACTURER BEFORE HIRING PATTERSON!! My furnace had recently stopped working, so I called a local company to come out and see what was going on. To my dismay, I was told right away I needed a new furnace. I then called Patterson, being that they initially installed the furnace some many years ago. Jay came out, told me what was wrong, and then told my wife and I that we were covered by a "class action" lawsuit. Jay told us that the cost to repair our unit would be no more than $200, or we could replace our furnace (same brand) for $3,600.
