Iles Funeral Home made my experience as a daughter having to step up and take the responsibilities of preparing her mother’s cremation so easy. As soon as I walked in I felt at ease with Joe. He made every step easy to understand he didn’t make me feel pressured to decide anything that day. He talked us through everything and gave us all our options and took care of everything they needed to on their side immediately. This was the best place we could have chosen to take care of my mom in her final chapter of her life. We thank them with everything in us for making this such an easy transition and not stressful. They even checked in on me later to see how I was doing emotionally which was so sweet. So Iles Funeral Home, thank you so much for all you all did!

Funerals are a life event that no one wants to have to plan for. It is a very stressful and anxious time and can be very overwhelming. Iles Funeral Home helped our family with the arrangements for our loved ones funeral and alleviated so much of the stress and burden of wanting to make his funeral the celebration of his life that he deserved. From the initial phone call to the follow up afterwards, their entire staff were very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. When we had our initial meeting with John Wild, he was very helpful and informative about all the choices and options available to us. He was very patient with us as we made our difficult decisions. He coordinated the service with our church and the Iowa Veteran's Cemetery and we appreciated all the attention to detail. The American flag that was presented to us at the cemetery was encased in a beautiful case by Iles and given to us that same afternoon.

We had my mother’s funeral at Dunn’s Chapel last month. Also my grandfather had his funeral there about twenty years ago, and the funeral director Amy Sweet Sorensen managed both of their funerals.
In fact, when mom got sick with cancer, I reached out to Amy, and she came to visit our family at mom’s hospital room to help us plan mom’s final services. Mom picked out the songs, and she chose a beautiful pink casket from the catalog that Amy showed her in the hospital room.
