During RAGBRAI 2023, the owner, Cory, generously opened a grass lot for campers to stay in and allowed them to fill their water tanks from an outdoor spigot. Tammy, who operates a gymnastics school in part of the building, was also instrumental in helping "campers in distress." In addition to their hospitality, Carroll Ace Hardware offers a wide range of products for various projects. One satisfied customer recently used Clark+Kensington Satin paint for their basement remodel and was impressed with its low odor, great coverage, and large color selection. The paint was mixed precisely, demonstrating the store's commitment to providing quality products and personalized service. Extremely helpful, polite, courteous, and knowledgeable. Not in a hurry. Wanted to be sure all our questions were answered. Showed us products in the store based on our questions. Even offered to help load our purchases into our car.
Had a great experience. Also slightly awkward, if management wanted to reach out about the awkward part. I felt a little profiled due to my looks by one associate. The other associate was fantastic. I'm a business owner and just needed tools asap. Pretty decent experience, I just don't get profiled much.
While we didn't need any hardware supplies, Cory (sp), the owner, sure came thru for us while we were in Carroll for RAGBRAI 2023! He graciously opened a grass lot for us, and many others, to camp in as well as let us fill our water tanks from his outdoor spigot! Tammy, who operates a gymnastic school in part of his building, was also very instrumental in notifying/working with Cory to come to the aid of "campers in distress"! Kudos to both of you!
