Sometimes you have to try a place to make up your own mind about it! Almost didn’t come here because of mixed reviews, none of which were recent. Aunty did my nails and was gentle with the cuticles, gave a nice hand massage, and checked her work along the way. I didn’t have an appointment and it was quiet so they were able to help me right away. And when the phone rang, they didn’t hesitate to pick up to help someone schedule an appointment. The polish job itself is decent- slightly thick/ uneven, but otherwise fine for me!
I had a pedicure and full acrylic gel set done on 9/28... and these photos are 3.5weeks later (10/22) All my nails are still on. I've had my nails done many times before and I think this is the longest nails have stayed on without any chipping/breaking and no fill. There's obviously grow out, but that's on me for not going back yet. I've read other reviews complaining about the owners delivery when she talks, but I think they could grow a backbone. The owner, in my opinion is a very nice lady. She's professional and to the point. I've had nice conversation with her and found she's been doing nails for over 30years and learned to be a nail tech in NewYork (don't you need to be tough there?) lol The salon itself could use an update, but let's face it, hawaii is not cheap and I'm sure her rent in the shopping center is not cheap. Did you come here to get your nails done or for the view? They don't claim to be a luxury spa, but they are clean and more than capable of doing a great job on your nails. The pedicures are always good. Massage chairs work just fine. I just felt the need to correct the negative comments on here. I live here locally and have been to a few other salons in the area. I would gladly return here anytime I need.
My family and I didn't want to pay $150 EACH for a basic pedicure and manicure in Waikoloa so we came here after Merrimans lunch while we were in the area! This place is definitely not the luxury experience but they're not claiming to be! You get all the basics for a great price and they work fast. We left totally satisfied! Paid $150, with tip, for all 3 of us!
