Great place to visit and pick up some pieces of local wood from Hawaii! They have pieces cut to suitcase friendly sizes or can cut boards to the length you'd like. Definitely going back each time we visit to grow our collection of Hawaii woods.
2025 update: Still a great team at Kamuela! Helpful at identifying woods in the 'suitcase sized' woods.
4 star, but I want to clarify that a bit. Just not what I was expecting. If you are looking for raw unfinished wood slabs then it would be 5 stars. Very little furniture options like the sign suggests.
One of the most magical places on the big island!! Should be a pit stop for all locals or tourists passing by to look in awe at the beautiful wood gallery and pieces. It's so beautiful in there with a barn like feeling, super rustic and framed in the background by the most breathtaking hills of waimea scenery ?
