“We highly recommend Jeff Drechsel and Zuma Development! Jeff and his team recently remodeled our Kapalua condo, transforming it from a tired-looking, dated space into the perfect Maui retreat. The work was extensive and included new bath and kitchen cabinetry and countertops, replacement of all interior doors, a totally redone tile shower, linen closet, recessed lighting, lanai tile replacement, and new exterior doors and windows. There was a tricky piece of previously existing tile flooring adjustment that needed to be done in the kitchen, and Jeff’s team handled it flawlessly.Jeff not only stayed well within our budget, but his recommendations for materials and suppliers were spot on. He really listened to us and understood what we wanted. We were wondering how being in California during the remodel would affect communication, but any concerns were immediately laid to rest. Jeff, and his wonderful assistant, Renee, kept us informed every step of the way, promptly responded to our calls, texts, and emails and frequently sent photos of the progress. They redid the entirety wall to wall, floor to ceiling of our Kapalua Golf Villa in 2018 and it is still magnificent today - and yes, it is in a rental program. “Pre-Lahaina devastation last spring we contacted Mark to replace the 20-plus year-old tile countertops in our Napili Point dressing areas. The previous year, we selected granite at Hawaiian Ceramic Tile and luckily made three choices (and took photos). It took a year to find a local contractor who would commit to the job. Mark was the man for the job. He kept in touch during the summer as he worked around our schedule. In September, he got the work done. We selected faucets on the Mainland while making sure there were plenty of them listed on the Kahului Home Depot website. The results are perfect and even better than we could visualize. (We had picked three granite patterns knowing that not all would be available by the time we got the work done. Only one pattern was left.) A bonus was that Mark thoughtfully kept three of the custom tiles from the original counter. We loved those tiles and now have three great coasters. Mark gets points by staying in touch, and sending demolition and installation photos. Mahalo, Mark. We hope to work with you again.“
