Don’t miss an opportunity to do morning yoga in Kihei while looking out at the Pacific Ocean and several of the Hawaiian islands! Many days you will see turtles or whales swim by. I have been attending Maui Oceanfront Yoga, basically, forever whenever I am on island (19 years?). Johanna is a wonderful yoga ?‍♂️ instructor. She has become a friend whom I look forward to seeing whenever on Maui! She is a roll model for what it looks like to really ‘give back’. She always has a ‘giving’ opportunity for us to participate in. She is very generous with her travels to places near and far to serve others. Johanna is skilled in creating a welcoming atmosphere and adapting her class to all levels of yoga ability. The setting is unbeatably gorgeous, And you will leave feeling energized, relaxed, and ready to take on the rest of your day.I have been attending this class religiously for years, it’s my favorite thing I do on Maui.

Kihei's best kept secret! Johanna's Oceanfront Yoga classes are an amazing way to start the day - truly a meditation in motion. The practice is suitable for all levels, and always customized to the participants. Practice while you look out at the Pacific Ocean, and your ujai breathing is echoed by the sound of the rolling surf. Sometimes, we see sea turtles; occasionally, we see dolphins; in the wintertime, we often see humpback whales! Take your pick: sun or shade, or maybe a little of both (my favorite)!
