When I first met Catalina, I had just moved back to Houston and needed a cut/colorist to keep up what I'd had done at another Aveda salon. Not only did she pick up right where I left off, but she perfected the color formula to make it even better for me. As I started getting some greys, she reformulated again with exceptional results. She was always honest with what my hair and tone could and couldn't do, and I appreciated her honest and exact approach. She knows her stuff! After getting engaged, I knew I wanted her to do my wedding hair updo. We did a couple trials, and she gave me EXACTLY what I wanted! Very sophisticated and elegant, yet a fun chignon at the same time. My hair isn't thin, but it is very fine in texture, and she knew how to coax out all the volume we could for the style. She was very realistic in telling me if my hair would/wouldn't work for different styles I showed her. Many brides want styles that aren't realistic for their hair type, and some stylists don't tell their clients for fear of losing business. Catalina has her clients' best interests at heart. Bottom line: go to Catalina if you want high quality and personalized color, cuts, and updos! I trusted her on my wedding day, and that is no small thing!
