“When I tell you guys this is the best salon to go to when you want good service, welcoming, and a great final look… Jen had not only stayed late for me but she helped me with directions and was so patient. She closes around 6 but took me in, no problem. So sweet! Every time I go to get my eyebrows threaded elsewhere, they hurt me, they don’t look nearly as what I had asked for, and sometimes, I even have to fix them up at home. Jen was sooooo gentle. She didn’t hurt me not once and we talked the whole time like we were best friends. I told her how I normally shape my brows and etc and she did just that and above! She took her time and was not letting me leave until my eyebrows looked perfect! I love that! And let me just say, my eyebrows have been the best they have ever been. Jen cares a lot about her business and her clients. When I was leaving, she had gave me a hug and told me please come back. I will!! Because of her staying late for me, taking her time, making me feel like family, etc, I’d trust her to do anything on me. :)Service: Eyebrow threading“

“Wonderful experience with a lady stylist. Was looking for a place to get a haircut on vacation and wasn’t sure where to go. She did an amazing job- I don’t think I’ve ever been happier with a haircut, and she made the time pass pleasantly. Thank you!!“

“I went in for a trim, and I left with an experience. I’m nervous about writing this review because you, the reader, might read it and, too, decide to see what this place is all about. It’s genuinely just a hole-in-the-wall shop where uncertainty abounds if you just glance at it. I would not have even found it had I not needed to park in the back to get my mail from the local mail and ship. I only needed a quick trim, and it wasn’t apparent that they accepted walk-ins. I gave it a try. When I first entered, I couldn’t tell you who was in charge of scheduling or making decisions. Nails to the left, hair styling to the right. It looks more like a shop for the elderly community to get their salon needs handled. By no means is this salon pretentious. This was more of an accident because I had time and desperately needed a trim. Mind you, the desperation is because I despise/dread/fear getting my haircut because communication can be a barrier, and people love to cut a lot more when they know there is a language problem. It was now or never for me, so I rolled up my sleeves and walked to the door.I went in, and a woman from the nails side came out. I explained I needed a trim, and she pointed me where to sit. Mature ladies were getting manicures and pedicures, an older person was getting her hair colored and styled, and honestly, I wasn’t sure if I would leave the building with a pixie cut, a flipped bob, or Betty bangs. I could not complain as it looked like walk-ins were accepted. YAY! Not even five minutes into my waiting period, an elderly woman came in, obviously upset I was sitting in the haircut section because she had an appointment and was not going to stand for someone taking her time slot. She NEEDED her hair colored and cut! She was showing her roots to me, the nail lady, and anyone in the area who would listen and empathize. The nails lady came over in an attempt to calm her down. An elegant woman mysteriously appeared from somewhere in the back, consoled her, and after a side “stink-eye” from the customer, she happily went to the nails side for a pedicure. They took excellent care of her.Ms. Elegance then came to me, had me stand up, and began assessing my hair. She walked me to the shampoo table after it was determined just a trim, no color, no blow-dry, just a trim. She began washing my hair with cool water, not the scalding hot stuff most salons use. It was refreshing. Oh, and you know the old shampoo labels, “Lather, rinse, repeat?” Yeah, she lathered at least three times, but it was this luxurious fingernail (light) scratching, neck massaging, scalp massaging ecstasy. I’d go back just for a shampoo! She started cutting my hair, but I was beginning to wonder if this Jennifer was, in fact, the owner. She spent time on her phone (earbuds), helping the stylist next to her, taking care of the nail lady who had questions, you name it, she was doing it…all whilst cutting my hair with ease. She did a little blow-dry, which was funny because she did not understand I was walking home in the rain, so there was no need for a blow-dry, but oh my goodness, the fingers running through the hair stopped me from uttering a word!If you have made it this far, I implore you to run to this salon. The reason I saw so many tutu wahines is not because this is an antiquated salon….no, it is because these ladies are beyond wise. They KNOW where to go and have been coming here for years. I hope to become one of these wise women and come here just as often. I LOOK GOOD!!!!Mahalo nui loa for such a blissful experience!“
