Shun does gorgeous bridal hair styling. I highly recommend him for a creative and upscale look.

Used this place my last visit several times and booked new appointments for my stay in the area . I inquired about costs for the wash and blow out I was booking . Very detailed because I saw from the last visit they up charge for any little thing such as curling your hair to the right instead of the left . Or using a hair dryer to dry your hair ….. So I was quoted a price and allowed for something they forgot in the quote so more of a range . Was extremely surprised they charged a fee for requesting a specific stylist 🙃. Who ever heard of doing such a ridiculous practice! This was my first of this kind of overcharge and I was not feeling comfortable with hearing this . So I decided I wasn’t comfortable doing the service I had scheduled. When I arrived and asked the cost before we started because the cost of the up charges change by the minute there and aren’t consistent. they showed me a quote of double from what they had already given me with all the up charges and I got a bit confused. They claimed my previous quote was a starting price . I wasn’t doing anything except getting a wash and blowout . So what more can they up charge me for? I was already paying for the wash and the shampoo as well as the water towel and air , a specific stylist , the privilege of being there . So I decided I’ll do my own hair and leave the stylist’s behind . They are so greedy and scamming that if they could charge you for a chair for the service to sit on they would!!!! Seems to be places such as this give the local residents their standard price and when visitors come come in they see an opportunity to try and get as much $$$ as they can figuring they aren’t returning for a while . Charging for every tiny little thing like shampoo conditioner or requesting a stylist is such a sleazy business practice I’m wondering what the initial cost actually covers ? It’s as if they give you the cost of a service and add in a list of made up extra costs that are normally part of the service as if you are paying twice for the same thing. Which is exactly what the cost they were going to charge me seemed to be ! This place has poor business ethics and would never stay in business if they didn’t give local people competitive prices and visitors separate inflated prices. Some people pat themselves on the back a bit too much and go too far . I hope others realize this business is dishonest as well as greedy and unethical. businesses such as this scamming dishonest business gives a bad name to other local businesses who are actually honest . I’ll stick to places that don’t make up add ons as we go along AND quote different amounts . That don’t give separate prices to locals and overcharge visitors . Very dishonest business practices!.

    Two negatives
    1. 5 USD surcharge for requesting a hairstylist that you like.
    2. Scheduling, even if booking online, can be quite disorganized for the front desk staff.

Other than that, if I lived closer, I would always return here.
Hair color that is used in the salon is good quality compared to other salons. Despite frequent showers and beach time, the color on my white hairs did not fade as quickly as expected.
*All the staff is friendly and follows your requests correctly.
    *Reasonable prices.

I saw Sue. She did a root touch up and quick head spa service. She was fantastic! Everyone was so kind and I felt very relaxed. The spa was also very clean. It was the best experience I have had getting my hair done in so many years. I will definitely be coming back!

Niece got her hair highlighted and there’s a big strand in the back that has no highlights. Stylist also did not do the highlights all the way to the root of my nieces scalp, therefore looks grown out already

Did my Japanese hair straightening here and it was incredible. I have super frizzy hair that would tangle and puff up as soon as I left the house. Now my hair is straight after just a rough blow dry. The only thing that I didn’t like was that they did treatments on my hair without mentioning that it was an extra $60. It wasn’t a huge deal I needed them anyway but would’ve liked to know the price. They still are very reasonable on pricing and I will definitely be doing my root touch up when my hair grows out here.

I've been going to Soho Hair Salon consistently for the past two years and it's for a good reason. The service is always phenomenal, no matter who my hair stylist is. I believe I've had my hair done by three or four different people at the Ko Olina location and all of them meticulously cut my hair. I was initially drawn to this place because their price for Japanese hair straightening was cheaper compared to other salons on island that I've seen... and let me tell you, it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. Not only is the price better compared to other salons but they make sure to make every strand straight. Whether I'm getting my hair cut or straightened, it always feels like I'm being pampered at this salon. Btw, I highly recommend everyone to try out the head spa option when you can. It is the most relaxing service I've had from a salon, ever. They really massage your scalp well! I've always had very positive experiences here and I highly recommend anyone to try Soho out! As a side note that's not completely related to their services: I was once able to practice my Japanese speaking skills during an appointment which was a pretty neat bonus but I definitely need to learn more vocabulary.

Usually you can walk in (if not too busy) -Recommend making appointments. (online or in person) It's a Japanese salon although, they understand and speak English. Don't be frightened to talk with your stylist. When getting in; you may have to wait for your stylist to meet with you. They always have great calming music to settle your nerves, not to mention it always smells amazing in there. They are so kind. The stylist I usually go to is Kou. This time I met with a lady.. I believe her name was Sue. I showed her a picture of the hairstyle I had been thinking of and what color I was thinking. Thank you so much for coloring my hair. Giving me the new haircut!

I had my hair colored, cut, and straightened (Japanese Hair Straightening) while on vacation on Thanksgiving week. And currently, I am very happy with my hair. I could use a touch up on the roots but overall, my hair is still very smooth after washing. Pricing was very reasonable and service was wonderful, very attentive.

I had Chiko. She was amazing. I had long thick curly hair and went in for the yuko hair treatment. It came out perfect. All of the staff there was attentive and professional.
