Very impressed, the staff and setup at this hair salon was very professional. My stylist at this salon was Nani, and she was great. Loved the service and was very welcoming, I came in to get my first perm (male) and was impressed with the ending result. Thumbs up for me

Worst experience ever! It doesn't deserve any star...Will not be returning! Didn't get what I scheduled an appointment for after making an appointment a "month out" with Nani for wash, CUT & style. After confirming their new address I called and asked if it was still ok to come in. I even said I did not want to mess up any other appointments. She said no problem. Get there for appointment 5 mins late and say I'm here for Nani and the stylist I spoke to says have a seat. I sat there for over 35 minutes and no service. Finally asked another stylist is Nani there and she rushes to the back to get her. Nani comes out tries to apologize for the misunderstanding and I excuse it. Then I sit in her chair and she has me down for a wash & style. When clearly I scheduled for a wash, CUT, & style! She says she doesn't have time to do a cut and tries to pawn me on another stylist to see if they had any openings. The stylist who greeted me was totally unprofessional and inconsiderate, seeing me wait for all that time and never let Nani know I was there and Nani for not even providing the service!

Today was my first time at Kapolei Salon, and it did not disappoint!! I had the pleasure of meeting Nani who was the sweetest ever. I went in needing my hair dyed and cut. She found the perfect match to what I was looking for and it turned out amazing!! I was soooo happy when I left there! I haven't been to a salon in a long time because I've had some not great experiences, but that has changed! I will definitely be making another appointment with Nani!!!

I'm not one to make complaints because I like to look at a glass half full. I thought it was time for my 12 year old daughter to go to a salon and to stop going to a shop like Fantastic Sam's or Supercuts. The results were always great as she normally would get a trim off her ends and a simple long layer cut. My daughter has bra length wavy hair. Due to her hair texture, her hair is often dry. It often gets frizzy if its humid. This time I wanted to try kapolei salon to have her hair deep conditioned and a simple cut. Initially she told me that the cut would be $18.95, but when we got there she said itll be a regular adult cut because "her hair length is like an adult." Hmmmm..most kids her age have longer hair. Her hair was not hula length long. We decided to just go with it because she needed to have it deep conditioned for a valentines dance and a function over the weekend. Long story short..we said long layers, she plays sports so her hair could be tied up, and her hair is wavy so long layers would help. The sytlist also agreed to keep her hair long. Anyway, my daughter came out ..with a shoulder length blunt cut and bangs chopped to the sides of her ears. She kept saying she looked like a boy. She cried and was miserable ..after she washed it at home..her short bangs couldnt go behind her ears or be pulled up into a ponytail. The length has no shape..and it looks like it's just cut straight across the back which made her hair even thicker. We paid 70 bucks! We bought accessories such as head bands to make her hair work for her...all I could do was to reassure my daughter that her hair will grow and not have her hair cut there again. On the positive note, the deep conditioner was great on her hair.

Had a very positive experience. Staff was friendly & most accommodating- got an appointment -same day. My hair was in SAD shape, color wise--Jasmine helped to pick a color that was very close to the color I have had for years. I am pleased with the results.
