This review is for Shana at the refinement. She is a friend of a friend I've been following on IG and she was offering an awesome special on balayage for any length hair (this was before the covid pandemic) so I took it. It was super easy to make an appointment and she's pretty flexible with her days and times. The salon is on dillingham above a physician's office so I would schedule when they are not open. The salon itself is clean and has a nice ambiance, I did not feel out of place while hanging out on their couch waiting for my turn. Shana did an amazing job on my hair. I had a party later on that evening that I attended and I got many compliments. My scalp didn't burn and my hair actually smelled really good after getting colored. I will be back after this pandemic is over!
If I could give 0 stars. I made an appointment in their website because they hardly ever answer their phone listed. I booked an appointment about 3 days ago and for a confirmation through email. Well showed up to the place and it was close. Tried calling the number and it went straight to voicemail. It's just unprofessional to not be notified that my appointment was canceled. Also parking sucks, they share a space with a doctor place. So be prepare to find parking d St one where else.
After trying to find a salon closer to home, I broadened my search and took a chance. Parking lot is small, but the other office is cool and you can double park and move if needed. Shana gave me some good suggestions for hair color. My foil had about 5 months grow out and it was really washed out blonde. She did highlights and lowlights and really took the time to ensure each section was saturated. I asked for long layers and she did a great job. The end result was fabulous and definitely to my liking. She styled my hair and it looked like a million bucks. Thanks Shana!
