Welcome to Hawaii Kai! This second location is a welcome addition to Hawaii Kai Town Center as I've been to the town location before and they are always so busy even with an appointment. Looking in this location still had several ladies getting their pedicure which what I always do to take care of my neglected feet (which the technician suggested as it's really bad) but no one doing manicure so I decided to walk in and ask...no problem! Walking in it seems nice and clean though it looked a bit dated, the manicure tools was kept in like a wood stationary cup and as she dropped a nail file picked it up and put it back in, just some of the vibes here does make me cringe. I wanted a gel manicure she never asked what type (basic, spa or deluxe) and never inform me of any pricing but it was already late in the day and I'm happy that I could get it done. I did get the basic which I think is $20 and wanted gel with fade (which is additional $30 I think) and though they didn't have much color choices in gel I did find one that I wanted "Champagne Winter". My nails go through hell at work so I don't do it much often since I get a lot of breakage from that but with a upcoming even I decided they needed it. Though they seem to do all the enhancements and various designs she never asked if I wanted additional treatment or upgrades and didn't give the spa vibe that I get at some locations but with places that do take walk ins it does make that spontaneous decision a sparkly one and I appreciate it. I came from out of town (NY) on vacation and searched Yelp up and down before I came for a place that did dip powder. (Apparently it's not as common in Hawaii as in NY) I called and made an appointment and asked if they did dip and they said yes. The salon was cute with pictures on the wall and the staff was super nice. They only had around 30ish dip colors but a decent assortment of colors/glitter. I had dip powder on my nails that was 2.5 weeks old on when I went. I have the dip powder on my natural nails and the lady who did my nails even asked if I wanted them cut, before she was going to ask me if I wanted tips. The staff was super nice and the owner even talked to me and asked how I heard about them. They did a really great job, were thorough, clean, and neat throughout. Very impressed and happy! Couldn't recommend them enough! Prices were decent and standard from what I reviewed across Yelp for this area of Hawaii. About a 10 minute drive from the hotels area by Waikiki Beach.
Dexter was awesome! By far the best my natural nails have ever looked. He was doing my engagement nails and while I didn’t realize that’s what they were for, he did and he made sure they looked fabulous. :) definitely recommend !!Service: Manicure
