About Salon LiLac
Salon LiLac is a welcoming salon known for great haircuts and a comfortable environment. The owner is described as sweet, funny, kind, super friendly, and caring, with an amazing personality. She is a strong independent individual with interesting life stories. She is highly experienced with all types of hair, including very fine and sparse hair, and really understands how hair works. She is thorough, taking time to understand each client's hair goals and providing guidance based on her stylist experience, including how cuts will grow out. Clients are never disappointed and always leave looking great and happy with their cut, which is exactly what they wanted. The salon is noted for being amazing, with many stating it would be their local salon and that they highly recommend it for all hair needs. The only suggested improvement is that she could serve more people. The service is also considered an excellent value compared to other salons.
The best salon experience I've ever had on-island and the best haircut I've had ever! The cost of women's haircut depends on the length and desired style; however, you can be sure that Salon Lilac charges fairly and at a competitive rate. Price point categorizes Salon Lilac as a budget salon; however, the quality of cut, service and experience is high-end/luxury. Currently located on the bottom floor of McCully Shopping Center, there are plenty of parking spots available. Kyoko shared that she will eventually moved to Ala Moana. Several customers have expressed a desire to follow her there--a testament to Kyoko's character and expertise. Scheduling was quick and easy. I was fortunate enough to snag a desired time day-of with a simple text to the salon. Kyoko has many years of experience from cutting hair in Japan and on-island. Although it wasn't first time meeting her, I felt instantly comfortable in her hands and in conversation. Time flew by and before I knew it, I had exactly what I asked for. A hair cut that kept my length, yet removed all dead ends. A layered look that framed my rounder face. What a lovely human, a wonderful time and a worthwhile haircut! I was even gifted a tiny Lindt chocolate treat. How sweet is Salon Lilac!
Great haircut but more importantly great stories! The owner is soooooo sweet, funny, and honestly I loved hearing about her life stories about coming to make a living from Japan. Strong independent and such a caring individual!
i love her! i love homey salons ran by sweet older stylists rather than the scary industrial looking ones that overcharge you. the sweetest japanese lady in the world will greet you and give everything u want and more. she told me she'll be moving to ala moana in the summer so i'll definitely be following her over there.
