I have been a patient of Bernie Portner for many years. I was stunned a few months ago when I made an appointment to see him. Another physician walked in and explained that Dr. Portner had an accident, broke his hip and had retired. He was buying the practice. I brought xrays of my knee. He stated they were negative, nothing found. I then began physical therapy. I felt a bit better. Now I am back to square one, difficulty walking. I am taking an OTC pain reliever. I would never go back to this facility without Dr. Portner. He was one of a kind. He knew what he was doing. This is a true loss to the medical community and to all of his patients.
