Absolutely a terrible experience. Contracted them for their services to provide security 24/7 for a 37 floor condo building, 2 guards per shift (3) shifts. From day 1 they couldn't get their act together, when we had the initial meeting with myself and the Board, I advised them If they could take on this large complex with a lot of moving pieces. They could not keep the shifts full, they would constantly send guards that had no experience with the property setting them up for failure and the property as well. If you have a large property or building don't even think about it, they broke their contract only 3 months in because they cannot keep the required guards onsite. It was a mess and I wouldn't advise to hire them.

***I worked for Jan-Guard from June 2010, to the end of 2013, almost entirely on the Hawaii county Civil Defense contract at the 'Kalapana active lava fields'. Not sure why the two other reviews are so negative but must have been quite a bite on their ars to be that way. So, for the 3 1/2 years with them, I never had any complaints at all. The owner (Frank) was always available to answer questions and was always a topnotch professional. His field supervisor for the areas outside Hilo (Dave) was also professional, easy to work alongside and actually worked, instead of goofing off. During 2010 and into 2011, we had up to 3,000 tourists per day at the lava fields and also assisted those people parking up to 1,000 cars EVERY day, 7 days a week. Very few issues ever arose as the tourists were happy to be there. But you and only 4 other officers try handling 3,000 people in less than 8 hours, see if you can do it. Only reason I left the company was due to another full time government contract job and the hours were over lapping. If there were any employees with poor job performance they seldom lasted long. Even with my extensive, prior, law enforcement experience (27 years), I enjoyed that job, learned a lot and always wanted to go to that job everyday. Can you say that about your present job.......right now??

This company could be better. A few bad apples within management but it does not make company bad. Less than a few good professional dispatchers with basic phone/office etiquettes. I hope these two that I am referring to gets promoted to management. Then again w all the stress and unfairness from current management I doubt they would want to sink in with them. Guards are alright. Most untidy appearance. A good-not-so-good security company to work with. Like I said could be better if management weren't bias. Update.
