It's sad to see salon businesses with low ratings due to specific stylists. I come to Hair World to get my eyebrows done by the magnificent Sandra. She does THE ABSOLUTE BEST eyebrow waxing I've ever had in the entire world. She knows what she's doing. And she puts all her energy and thought and emotion into doing them. She first looks at you straight forward and asks for you to look in certain directions so she can see how your eyebrows grow since every individual is different. Then she has you sit in her chair where the magic happens, and she will not let you leave until she feels POSITIVE of her job well done. Sometimes has you stand up again and will continue plucking until it is PERFECTION. If you have the time to read Yelp reviews they will benefit you in the long run because I love Sandra and the job she does to my brows :)

Although this was my first time going to Hair World, it's my fourth time to have Peggy Balagia do my hair. I took in some pictures of the big change in color I was wanting and walked out feeling incredible. She's professional, always on time, and such good company... which is important when someone is holding a sharp tool near your hair and eyes. My appointment was at 3 and I was able to park right in front. She was the only stylist with an appointment at that time, but another stylist came in during the time I was there. She was very friendly and said hello. I had read the other yelp* reviews before my appointment, so I was able to ask about this "Cheryl" that seems to have left quite the impression on some unfortunate customers. Well, not to worry, she's not there anymore. It seems she was only there for a couple of days. So, I'd highly recommend both Hair World and Peggy.

I have been going to John at Hairworld Niu Valley for about 3 yrs now. Liz is the owner and also does hair. My friends parents have gone to Liz for years as well. I have no idea who this Cheryl Prell is but she doesn't sound like a goodwill ambassador for Hairworld. Liz and John are great. I'm 60 ish and came because my brother and sis in law have gone there for many years. They are very professional. As far as youth and their styles are concerned, I can't comment on that. I can say that John is a great guy and I'm happy with his work. I also have a friend whom I referred to John. She also has been going about 3 yrs now with no complaints. Liz has had the salon I've been told about 30+ years. Give THEM a chance! Aloha!
