've been training with Bill for over a year now and having worked with multiple personal trainers in the past, I believe I have found "the one." First, Bill is extremely professional -- from the way he schedules appointments to the way he follows up with your workouts. His Fit Pro gym on Kapahulu is private and well maintained and that is big plus compared to working out in a crowded gym. Next, workouts are always fun and varied and he always explains exactly how the exercise works and why they are effective. He is much more knowledgeable on the technical and physiological aspects of working out than other physical trainers I have worked with so there is a real competency and confidence in his approach. I started working out with Bill well before my pregnancy and all throughout and now I can't wait to get started on getting back in shape with him. Bill is a highly skilled and competent trainer who always puts me at ease. More people need to know about his gem of a service.

Bill is a fabulous trainer. I worked out with Bill for six years and can honestly say that no two workouts are the same. Bill takes the time to really get to know you, your goals, your personal style and motivational needs, and he constructs each workout to get the most out of you and give you the most benefit. Bill has worked with me on a variety of personal performance and training goals, and helped me achieve a high level of fitness. Bill has also helped me with eating healthy and with the mental approach I take to my health and fitness. Bill is continuously learning and has a love of sharing his learning and helping his clients achieve their goals using a wide variety of tools and techniques. If you are in a rut, Bill will get you going!

I've known Bill Maeda of Fitpro Hawaii since we were in 7th grade together. We saw each other occasionally out and about, however I really never reconnected with him until I walked through the door of his personal gym. My professional career was taking off, yet my physical and psychological self was taking a beating. My life was severely out of balance. I was 138 pounds and 6'1". And although my wife and family loved me, I was loving myself less and less. I was a mess! However in the months that followed with Bill, I was transformed into that physical self I always wanted to be. My positive gains were noticed by everyone around me: friends, family, and even by complete strangers. With Bill, I was doing squats, kettle bells, jumping speed-rope, boxing, and even yoga - all with correct form of course! Sure we had days of more conventional workouts, but no two days were the same. As a result, I was never bored and always injury free. By years end, I was 170 pounds of lean muscle (my ideal weight). I was consistently eating better, and most importantly...my life was more and more in balance. Before I started I remember always feeling that low back fatigue every time I bent down to wash the dog or worked in the yard. Within a short time with Bill, it was gone. Today I consistently play more volleyball, shoot the basketball, run races, hit long tee shots, surf, ski, jump off ocean cliffs with the kids, and hike. All of those activities and more because of the physical foundation Bill continues to help me build on and maintain. At the time of this writing, I have trained with Bill since January 2005. I still remain inspired, and I still continue to walk through his door.
