This place is a scam, scheduled an appt and they required a down payment of $100, turns out the place doesn't even exist. Exchanged text messages and they alluded to them still being open.

I was sad to see Criselle L. comment on this page. "Tripps" Jordan Kahai-Kim is a complete scam artist. I went to his shop 2022 to have a tattoo done. At that time it was still physically there but, he was in the middle of closing his shop which he did not tell me when I gave him my deposit. The day of our first appointment he changed the location from his shop to his house. I met him at his house and he was in the middle of moving all his things from his shop to his house. I spent almost 7hrs there just so he could move his stuff from his shop and finally design my tattoo. I stayed because I didnt want to lose my deposit. He apologized for the wait and we scheduled another appointment. The second appointment I waited 3 hrs before I actually got ink done because he lost my design on his computer. He also had a few friends come over and one showed me a hand gun and they were all doing/selling drugs. After the session he charged me in full for his labor without deducting from the deposit. The third appointment went as scheduled but, I did notice that he was tattooing me high on drugs and drunk. I also noticed that after each session I was bleeding a lot. At this point I asked him to deduct from my deposit and scheduled one more appointment with him to deplete my deposit. My tattoo at this point was 40% done. The forth appointment I called and texted him throughout the week to confirm because he had been flaky with the rest of the appointments. He never returned my call so, I didn't show up at his house because I refused to wait for him. He called me an hour later saying that his phone was under his bed. I asked him if we can reschedule and he refused saying that I should show that day or lose my deposit. At this point, I told him off and told him to keep the rest of my deposit and hoped him the best of luck. He threaten to tell all the tattoo artists on the island to not finish my tattoo but, no one on this island knows this punk. He told me that he was already in a lawsuit with a previous customer and he rather physically harm that customer and go to jail that pay him his deposit back. I ended up going to another tattoo artist to finish my work and that artist said that Tripps scared my back with his heavy tattoo hand and that's why I bled so much. I tried reporting this page as closed so no one else would get scammed. Hopefully Yelp takes his page down.

Please be careful with this tattoo shop/artist "tripps". I've gotten tattoos from different countries, states, and here in Oahu. This is the first time and hopefully the last time I'll experience something like this. Long story short, I was stupid for trusting this guy. Very unprofessional and poor management. Please value your customer and their time. But here's the story... I was scheduled to get a full sleeve tattoo at 10am with a $646 security deposit. The artist asked if he could move it to 12pm, it was a minor change so it was no big deal for me. The day of the appointment, he asked if he could move it to 2pm. I thought that was a lil too late for a full sleeve, but I still followed through. Then he asked for a favor if he could get another $100 from me to get more supplies and this will be added to my security deposit. My dumbass believed him and sent the money because I didn't want any complications during my sessions. I arrived at his tattoo shop in Salt Lake at 2pm and couldn't find it. He then texted me last min that he doesn't have his shop anymore and I have to go to his place in Ewa to get the tattoo. I got frustrated, but I was already committed because I knew the security deposit was non-refundable and based on the previous 1 star google review, sounds like he's about to do the same thing to me like he did with the reviewer. I didn't sign any contract by the way. I gave him the benefit of the doubt cause I really like his artwork and he sounded genuine through texts. I drove to his place, then when he texted if I want to get it another day, it triggered me to text him if I can just cancel this appointment and get a full refund. He insisted that he could still tattoo me, I was thinking that oh maybe I would actually get started right when I arrive at his place. NOPE. I got to his place and he was still finishing up another client. With all the bullshit I went through, my dumbass still waited for another hour for this artist. That was my final straw. I finally realized that Im not getting anywhere with this guy so I asked for a full refund because it was NOT the customer's(me) fault that he changed my appointment time 3 times, last minute location change, need money for more supplies, and had me wait for more than an hour, which could've gone more if I didn't quit on him. I was expecting him to feel bad and agree with my argument about all the inconveniences he put me through. Nope, he was sticking with his non-refundable policy even though it was his fault that I'm not comfortable going through more of this horror. He said the vibe was already off when I asked him for a refund when I was on my way to his place. Dude, it was already off when you told me last minute that I have to go to Ewa. I should've already taken the hint when he asked me for more money. He also said that me going to his place wouldn't have done anything good. Bruh, of course I was gonna follow through. I was already committed and I didn't want to lose my $746 deposit that I saved up for months for this sleeve. He offered to refund half of my deposit back but he can't right now cause he doesn't have my money anymore. If you don't pay me back, it just proves how you are as a person!
