I am a blue belt visiting from Southern California. Dropped in during my vacation to train, and it was a great time. All the black belts on the mat are friendly and inviting. Professor taught great technique with a great attention to detail. Rolls were great at the end of class as well. I will be coming here everytime I visit!
Also, Location is stunning. With outdoor space and a nice breeze.

I’m a black belt visiting from the Bay Area, and I always make time to train at CJJS Hawaii Kai when I’m on Oahu visiting family. I’m so happy there’s a solid jiu jitsu gym right in Hawaii Kai—it really makes my trips even better.
The coaches are welcoming and knowledgeable, and the vibe is respectful, laid-back, and focused on good jiu jitsu. Even as a visitor, I’ve always felt at home. The students are humble and skilled, and the instruction is great for all levels.
Highly recommend for locals or anyone looking to drop in while visiting!
