Aloha! I love Algebra and love teaching students the proper steps needed in solving problems. My specialty is math, including general math, pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, and Trigonometry. I also help students in Biology and Chemistry, and do SAT and ACT Math Prep. Many people have told me that I have a special skill in making difficult concepts much easier to understand. I try very hard not to simply tell students the answer, but teach them the skills that enable them to solve problems on their own. Tutoring can be done online, on-site in my garage, through texting, or I can travel within the Metro Honolulu area. My rates are $75+/hour with a 1 hour minimum, depending on distance traveled. -- Lance Okino updated 12/'22
