Something that is becoming a bit of a lost art in Hawaii is getting custom surfboards for wall or home decorations. Before there used to be a lot of shops who made them but now there are only a few on the island. Surprisingly the one place I was able to find it for a wedding gift was a tattoo shop.
The communication between the owners and me was excellent. I was able to tell him exactly what I wanted, he made five different variations of what I was looking for and worked around what I thought looked the best. The turn around was a week but it was well worth the wait.
