Joy in Hilo was kind, patient, and helpful, a true woman of aloha. Unpretentious, genuine, and a helper rather than a salesperson. She never hurried, never pushed, and never made us feel she'd prefer to be elsewhere. The experience was made much easier than it might otherwise have been.
This modern memorial garden features three grassy terraces which overlook the Pacific Ocean. A polished granite mausoleum is built into the hill on each level. Graceful stone staircases connect the terraces and railings provide safe places to take in the spectacular panoramic ocean view on each level. As I explored this beautiful property I was overcome with a sense of peace. I also admired some headstones that were artistically sculpted masterpieces.
My husband I met with Loke Russell yesterday and were very pleased with our experience. As we are pre-planning, we are not very educated on the process. Our goal is to not only have our children not have to face the costs, but for us to have peace of mind that such an important decision has been handled. I appreciated also that we are given the ability to put our wishes down on paper to avoid any confusion or conflict in the event we pass at the same time. The service was impeccable and the property is beautiful.
