After our Dad passed a little over 2 years ago, we find it very difficult to find anyone in or close to Ka'u to do any home/remodeling work. After a few frustrating months of asking & calling every contractor I could find around the island, it was such a relief when Robert from RAD Builders responded within a day and then offered to call me to talk about the work I needed done. Not long after, he visited the house to get check out the bathroom/shower that we needed fixed and to provide me with the quote. Throughout the process all the way to when the work was done, Robert kept me well informed and was always prompt and thorough when answering all of my questions and concerns. Robert worked with us based on our set budget and the overall quality of services we received exceeded our expectations. We are grateful that we finally found an honest and reliable team that will help us keep our family home strong & taken care of as my Dad would have wanted. We've already requested for another quote to get more work done on the house so definitely looking forward to working with Robert again. Building a home started very stressful for me. There are so many options, lingo that I don't understand, permits that I don't know how or where to get, different people to deal with for different parts of a new build. I needed help narrowing down all the options. I wish I remembered the website that I found listing a bunch of contractors but from that website, I started googling these companies. I also asked around through friends and family and neighbors, etc. Robert decoito responded the next day and we chatted for awhile of what I wanted and he made recommendations to write down of who to call and even had some of the telephone numbers memorized!! He suggested certain materials that he would weather well for the area I was building on. Oh, I won't go I to detail but I had some call backs that were not helpful, not suggestive, and could not give me rough estimates like Robert did so that is my reason for this review. I didn't even know they had a Yelp and came across it today so I want to say, I am so pleased with hiring RAD builders. Thank you so much for working with me!!!
