Something is up with the women who work at this doctor’s office. They have been telling me for over 3 weeks that someone would call me back in a day or two. I see other reviews on health sites of women having the same experience and trouble dealing with them. It’s pretty gross to exhibit a nasty attitude towards patients when you work in healthcare. The women at the other doctors in Hilo don’t act rude and mean like the people working at this office do. Uohara is retired, and clearly this Stickley woman who took his place is majorly struggling to run her office efficiently.

I was fortunate that I was recommended to Dr. Uohara when I was living in Hilo. I was 32 years old at the time and had been through undiagnosed Gestational Diabetes 9 years earlier during a rough pregnancy. Dr. Uohara was a real Godsend. He instructed me all the way on my diet, helped me watch the diabetes, encouraged me to walk to help keep my sugar down and I gained 12 pounds and gave birth to a healthy 9 pound baby boy. The labor was an absolute cinch thanks to him. I continued under his care for years. I am ecstatic with my results! I had Botox about a week ago and couldn't be more pleased. Dr. Uohara and staff were pleasant and professional and the prices were comparable to the mainland. I highly recommend this establishment.
