I went about 12 years ago and she used to have a great spot by the beach and hot springs, but now it's buried under lava, so you're stuck inland. But think about it: in just 10 days or a month, she can really help turn your life around. Pay by credit card and have receipts and try to negotiate for a longer term as you will probably need it. Your addictions can be addressed and healed for a fraction of the cost of those fancy mainland clinics. I completed the 5-day water fast program in the Kealakekua Bay location. I feel so much better after completing it, and it was surprisingly easy & enjoyable. The location is absolutely beautiful, and Dr Baylac & her team are amazing, caring, knowledgeable, and super supportive & helpful. They've also cultivated a warm community feel with other "retreaters" who are there. The fast finished with Dr Baylac coaching me through mindfully eating the most delicious watermelon I've ever tasted. I hope to go back in the future -- great gains in only 5 days & wonderful experience. Highly recommend.
I attended the 10-day Wellness Detox Retreat in June 2021 and it was outstanding! I had very personalized service and was able to achieve that 'reset' I was looking for. Not only did I detox my body but I also found peace and quiet and was able to detox my mental state. The setting near Kealakekua Bay at the Luana Inn couldn't have been better. The view was amazing and it was in a non-tourist area which was perfect for relaxing.The raw food prepared was the best I've ever had in my life!
